The UK's most exciting dancehall artist, Mr. Midas, makes a highly anticipated return on 27th April 2009 with Midas, the hot new single from his debut LP It Only Takes 1Moment.

Midas – the single
Mr. Midas is all set to cause a heat wave on the dance floor this summer with the self-titled Midas, an upbeat song showcasing Mr. Midas' unique bashment sound.

The T4 Musicool favourite teams up with in-demand production genius JD AKA Dready (Estelle, Busta Rhymes, So Solid) for this energetic new track. Midas is the follow-up to Mr. Midas' successful first single Wile Out his debut album: It Only Takes 1Moment.

The fun, uplifting vibe of Midas gives Mr. Midas the opportunity to sample some of his favourite bashment and hip hop rhythms. The single's lively bass line, strong lyrics and rhythms and catchy chorus makes for the ultimate dancehall party track of 2009.

Also showcasing the musical talents of David B, Midas looks set to be the sound of the summer.

Mr. Midas – the man
Hailing from South London Mr. Midas' Jamaican and Barbadian roots has influenced his music dramatically. Not a man to follow trends, the 25-year-old's music is a fusion of the dancehall, hip hop, grime, pop & rock music genres he loves.

A regular fixture on London's urban music scene, with the release of Midas, Mr. Midas is aiming to bring a positive image of bashment and dancehall to a UK-wide audience. With a rapidly growing fanbase, both on and off –line, 2009 looks set to be a remarkable year for one of the UK's most important musical talents.
