Michelle Williams Set To Start Strictly Come Dancing
Singer Michelle Williams has been named as a contestant on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing this autumn. The former Destiny’s Child member has agreed to take part in the ballroom dance competition, and will be paid $150,000 (approximately £100,000) for her appearance.
In her Destiny’s Child days, Michelle already proved herself to be an amazing dancer, so I for one am confident that she will do well. The thirty year-old has a huge head start by being one of the most famous faces this year, as well as having a massive fan base from her gospel singing career. I’d say the BBC is lucky to have her, and they clearly agree with that. An insider from the show said “Michelle is a great booking for us…we are aiming big this year, and we are hoping fans of the show will realise this with a booking like her.”
Other names set to take part in the show include Patsy Kensit and ex-Corrie actress Tina O’Brien. A few former Eastenders actors are also apparently being considered as contestants, including Tiana Benjamin, who played Chelsea. The show is due to start next month.
