Beverley Continues to climb to the Top
Still celebrating the release of her latest album, West Midlands soul star Beverley Knight is aiming to achieve her best album sells ever, pleasing her fans across the globe.
Belting it out during at an exclusive live BBC Radio 2 show with DJ Trevor Nelson, the 38 year-old multi award winning songstress is on her way to her musical dream as she shot into the top 20 last week, sandwiched between no other than Foo Fighters and Arctic Monkeys.
Immediately thanking her 55,000 followers on Twitter, excitably tweeting: “Great to have the highest new entry! A great start! Thank you for your support,” her new album Soul UK, pays homage to British soul stars sampling songs from a range of iconic artists – from Soul II Soul and Loose Ends to Jamiroquai and George Michael.
Selling more than a million records and positioned is one of the biggest British soul stars of the past 20 years, there is no doubt that she is here to stay!
