Model Focus: DJ She Devil

DJ SheDevil is a british born model and DJ of Moroccan and Egyptian heritage. Signed to the number one US management company Czar Entertainment, SheDevil is now the first lady of the Czar Squad and Trina's official DJ. SheDevil has also joined "The Core DJ's" movement boasting an impressive roster of over 400 DJ's worldewide. Having worked with Lil'Wayne, John Legend, Kanye West and Nas to name just a few, SheDevil has now set her sights on music production and songwriting...

You are a DJ by trade, but have attained success as an industry model. How did you first get into modelling?
My modelling actually came from me being a DJ. Growing up I always wanted to be a model not just a model but a super model lol Unfortunately I am 5'6” and we all know you have to be 5'8” AT LEAST!
I have always focused on my DJing as that's my love. As my DJ career became more successful I appeared on flyer's, magazine, TV etc so I would say my modelling success has really come through being a DJing.

Which do you prefer? Being in front of the camera or behind the decks? .
Definitely without a doubt...being behind the decks is what I prefer. There is no better feeling than when you see the connection a good DJ has with the crowd! DJing is my love, music runs through my veins. I have a BIG personality so being in front of a camera is fun....I think all ladies like dressing up and taking pics, its fun......and acting is something I thoroughly enjoy..... So yes I do enjoy being in front of the camera.

As a DJ and model you have met many famous faces – do you ever get star struck? What has been your most memorable celebrity experience and why?
I used to get star struck but over the years working with various celebs you soon start to realise how hard they work and how down to earth most of them are. You might get a few who let it get to their heads, but in general they are just like the rest of us..
My most memorable moment was when I went to Puerto Rico for a DJ power summit which was basically organised for artists and DJs to come together. I met so many celebrities at that event. I saw how the artists that I respected, also respected us DJs.

Any love interests at the moment? If not, what do you look for in an ideal partner?
No, no love interests at the moment...I have too much to focus on in my career. But my ideal partner would be honest, someone with a bubbly personality and who makes me laugh, ambitious, takes pride in there appearance and within themselves (fit, I guess is what I'm trying to say) lol ;)

Is there anyone in the industry who you look up to or draw inspiration from?
People who I look up to in the music industry are entrepreneurs like Russell Simmons, Dr Dre, J.Z, Beyonce, P. Diddy, to name a few. They have all built empires and are continuing to do so. I draw inspiration from so many people but here's a few: Salt n Peppa, Spinderella, DJ Rap, Run DMC and De La Soul.

Any future projects?
I plan to release mix tapes with various artists in conjunction with the sale of She Devil merchandise. The 1st to be released is a mix DVD with JAJA from PDC called The Don and The Devil. So watch out for that!!! I'm working with a friend called 2 Much who is one of the biggest producers/ song writers out of the UK. We will be putting together artists for of the future. I manage a 15 year old singer called Seraiyah Lewis aka Xya who is very talented. She plays the piano, writes, dances and sings like an angel (she will be my secret weapon) so watch this space!!! I have also been recently signed to a company called Blaze Trak which is a music portal for up and coming talent to share their material with successful people within the industry. And I work in events management for charity events in the UK and Europe. I plan to pursue more Radio, TV and acting over the next 5 years.
I plan for all the above to be successful, so that should keep me busy for the next 5 years!!! lol
