Beyonce's latest L'Oreal advert

Beyonce's latest commercial for beauty giants L'oreal was aired in the States last week.

The singer and actress recently gave an interview while recording the latest promo for the newest L'Oreal Paris lipstick. She claimed that she felt extremely comfortable on the set. ‘This commercial is different because its really me…its really what I do…its great because its real'.

B went on to say that filming reminded her of ‘one of the greatest times of her life', which was filming the movie Dreamgirls in 2006. Admittedly, pictured on a stage in a black glittery boobtube dress, big hair, and the advertised bright red lipstick, it very easy to compare B to the character she played in the hit musical, Deena Jones, a role based loosely on the life of Diana Ross. In the past L'Oreal has been accused by women's magazines and the public of whitening Beyonce's skin in its advertisements, as well as letting her promote L'oreal hair products knowing full well that these products cannot be used in Afro hair.

So, it is all well and good being the face of the brand, but does Beyonce actually use any of L'Oreal's hair, skin or face products? She does indeed, naming the lipstick as her one of her favourites. ‘It's the only lipstick I trust', insists the star. ‘It stays put wherever I put it…I don't have to worry about it'.
