» Chris Brown Pleads Guilty To Rihanna Assault
Chris Brown has admitted one count of assault against Rihanna.
The admission of guilt comes as part of a plea deal at Los Angeles County Superior Court – which sees that the singer will avoid a custodial sentence.
Instead, Chris, 20, will be on probation for five years and has been ordered to do six months of community service. He must also attend courses on domestic violence and stay at least 50 yards from Rihanna, 21.
Speaking on his client's behalf, Rihanna's lawyer Donald Etra said the verdict was a ‘fair and just resolution'.
The Barbados-born singer also appeared in court but only after Brown left – she was informed of Brown's sentencing information.
The case stems from an incident between the pair in February this year.
