» Kelis Sues Nas For Child Support

Kelis has launched a lawsuit against estranged husband Nas. She is seeking £12,000 ($20,000) a month from Nas as child maintenance for their unborn baby.

The former couple split last month after over five years of marriage.

Court docs show that the singer wants Nas to cough up some dough for a nanny and items including a pram ahead of her due date next month.

She also explains that the child's "survival is based on Nas' will."
The papers show that the 29-year-old star earned little in 2008 because she did not tour and relies on Nas for her lifestyle.

It was revealed that her monthly outgoings are around $80,000 a month, while she averages an income of $21,616.
Nas has made no comment about the situation.
