Music News:
Lauryn Hill to make a comeback?
Lauryn Hill once stood as the reigning queen of hip hop; a woman of unprecedented musical talent- a rapper, singer, and poet.
More than a decade has passed since her days as Fugees front woman and the release of her debut solo album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, which in my opinion, was and is one of the greatest female hip hop albums of all time.
Ms Hill is slowly creeping back into the scene, having performed a string of shows across the U.S. and is set to headline the upcoming Rock the Bells Festival across America this summer.
In an interview with National Public radio about why she left music, Hill said "There were a number of different reasons, but partly, the support system that I needed was not necessarily in place. There were things about myself, personal-growth things that I had to go through in order to feel like it was worth it.”
She’s excited to be back in the music and give us what’s been missing from contemporary hip hop and RnB. "I'm starting to get excited again. Believe it or not, I think what people are attracted to about me, if anything, is my passion. People got exposed to my passion through music and song first ... And I think that can be infectious."
