Lil' Wayne Warns His Protégés: Stay Out Of Jail
Lil’ Wayne has warned his Cash Money label mates Drake and Bow Wow to make sure they don’t wind up in jail like him.
Weezy is currently serving an eight-month sentence at the Rikers Island prison in New York on weapons charges.
Bow Wow, 23, went to visit his mentor who took the opportunity to warn his protégé to stay out of trouble.
Bow Wow explains: “It was a humbling experience and one thing he told me when I went to visit him was ‘Bow, this ain’t for us... This ain’t built for cats like us. Don’t do it man, just stay out of trouble. You and Drizzy, stay clean, stay doing what y’all do, y’all can do this forever. All of this, it ain’t worth it.’
“I knew he meant it, 'cause Tune never lectures me,
“He was serious.”
Bow Wow joined the successful Cash Money collective last year and can’t wait for the whole crew to do a tour and he explains that Lil Wayne has such plans upon his release.
“When he gets out, we definitely plan on this Young Money/Cash Money tour: myself, Nicki, Drizzy, Wayne and the whole entire family."
