Artist Watch: Lady Leshurr
Birmingham born and raised MC and producer, Lady Leshurr is said to be the most exciting British female rapper to emerge since Ms Dynamite.
Having written her first rap aged six, she was Djing and rapping by 12, Leshurr aka Melesha O Garro, has caught fans interest through well received independently released mixtapes and a string of youtube clips full of raps such as her take on Chris Brown and Busta Rhymes' 'Look at me Now', which notched up over 80,000 views in one day on worldstarhiphop.com.
She has featured on tracks with various heavyweights, (including Tinie Tempah, Wiley, and Tinchy Stryder), has been earmarked by Mike Skinner, Nicki Minaj, and Trey Songz as 'the artist to watch', and has stopped a number of audiences in their tracks when performing everywhere from Hoxton's 'I Luv Live' night to Glastonbury's 'Introducing Stage'.
