Missy Drops Two New Tracks

Rapper, song writer, producer released two singles via YouTube on this week, "9th Inning" and "Triple Threat." Both tracks will be available on iTunes now.

Timbaland appears on both tracks, delivering the hook on ‘9th Inning.’

"The music game is in a bad state, so we're in the 9th inning like World War 2 and we have to come in and try to salvage what's left of it," Timbaland explained on Hot 97 on.

Missy’s new album, "Block Party," is expected later this year.

Also in recents news Missy Elliott explained why she didn't want to be involved in a "really sensitive" Aaliyah album.

There have been reports Aaliyah's loved ones are unhappy with the plan and Missy thinks their wishes should be paramount.

'My response would be a little different because I have to respect her family," Missy explained to radio station Hot 97. "Until they come and say we're ready to do an Aaliyah album, then I don't really want to try and get into that because it's really sensitive.'

Missy wonders if Aaliyah's unfinished recordings are that way for a reason. As a veteran in the industry she feels it is right to honour the status of these tracks the way Aaliyah left them, in case the late star never wanted them released.
