Trey Songz & J Holiday LIVE

Trey Songs and J Holiday touched down in the UK this week to perform a one-off concert at the Indigo, 02. Girls descended upon the venue hours before the doors opened in order to secure a prime spot to watch the American studs.

The host of the night was Kat of MTV fame. A well-known radio personality, Kat was a good choice to warm up the crowd through a gruelling hour of support acts.

These included Britain's Got Talent dance troupe – “Flawless” and Urban XL artist “Moonlight”, who gave away over £2000 worth of designer goodies to the crowd!!! Moonlight performed well and was a good support choice as his act was in keeping with that of J Holidays and Trey Songz – Strictly for the ladies!!! Moonlight's sexually explicit lyrics combined with Kat's rude jokes and lewd innuendo's set the tone for what was to come...

J Holiday was the first headliner to perform. Looking awkward in a shiny grey shirt and blue jeans, he later removed his top to reveal a tattooed chest whilst belting out “So Anxious” - the Ginuwine hit he sang back-up for. A definitive classic slow jam for the lovers, this track was well received! As he gulped from a huge bottle of Magnum, J Holiday conversed with the audience as if they were old friends. The banter was a good effort on J's part and soon he had the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand. After getting through hits such as ”Be with you”, “Suffocate” and “Back of my ‘lac”, he then wowed the crowd effortlessly with his global smash – “Bed” which had everybody on their feet, singing and swaying in unison.

Next on-stage was Trey Songz, who caused at least 3 girls to faint on sight! Looking cute as ever in a white hoodie and fresh white kicks, Trey didn't have to do as much as J Holiday to excite the crowd. He performed hits such as “Can't help but wait”, “Last time” and “Wonder Woman” to the delight of the (mainly) female audience. Although Trey has yet to have a crossover hit such as his headlining counterpart, it was clear that his fans had turned out to see him perform! Knowing this, Trey did his utmost to please – even flashing a well-defined torso to his shrieking fans.

Trey performed a cut from his newly anticipated album “Ready” called “I need a Girl”. Having been nominated for a Grammy in 2007 on the back of his debut effort “Trey Day”, this taster single went down a treat.

With a smirk and a wink, Trey closed the show and cruised off stage leaving his female fans wanting more.
